Where’s Mikey? S&L Trivia Game

Week 8: 2010s

Answer until Wednesday, September 29th at Noon CT.

On a Roll!

As the 2010s approached, America was climbing out of its worst recession in decades and eventually, the economy did recover and by the end of the decade it was humming. Increasingly, our world was pursuing new ways of advancing green initiatives to preserve our natural resources, including clean water. Under the new leadership of President Frank Rebori, Smith & Loveless R&D designed new solutions to efficiently transfer and purify clean water. In 2010, S&L introduced the first packaged headworks offering 95% grit removal called PISTAWorks™, the OPTIFLOW 270™ retrofit baffle extending the service life and increasing the efficiency of more than a thousand 270-degree grit chambers in North America in 2014, and in 2015, the PISTA® VIO™, offering the market’s highest grit removal efficiency in the market combined with flexible variable inlet and outlets. Coinciding with the acquisition of SCHLOSS Environmental Equipment, S&L now supplies a full range of proven screen and washing equipment as part of its robust headworks line. On the pumping side, S&L introduced the most user-friendly pump station PLC with the touchscreen QUICKSMART™ followed by the launch of the EVERLAST™ Pump Station line with S&L Star One™ Non-Clog Pumps, bringing a fresh approach to vacuum-primed pump stations along with the industry’s most operator-friendly pump features, including the new RAPIDJACK™ Quick-Connect Check Valve. Then in 2018, S&L developed the next-generation TITAN MBR™, completely streamlining the design to make the TITAN MBR™ the most user-friendly packaged MBR on the market while still meeting water reuse and BNR capabilities. Like the economy, S&L was on a roll.

This Week's Question:

As noted above, S&L introduced many new products and product refinements throughout the 2010s. A big part of S&L’s product research and development included cutting-edge computational fluid dynamics (CFD), including at its Grit Removal Research Center (GRRC), which opened at S&L’s headquarters in 2013. Name the S&L Product that’s demonstrated in the GRRC for guests to see when they visit S&L’s headquarters. Find Mikey for the clue to the answer.
